Check out the video below... and I'm sure it fits easily in the trunk of your car so you can take it with you.

JUST IN TIME...

Are you looking forward to all of your favorite dishes on Thanksgiving Day? My thoughts are, is it really necessary to overeat to the point that you are groaning and complaining after the meal?
I can't tell you how many people literally go with the idea of “pigging out” on this holiday. But why put yourself through the physical and emotional agony of it all? You can still enjoy all your favorites by trying this painless little technique. I promise you, you really won’t feel deprived!
Try tasting just a tablespoon or two of only the things you really enjoy and look forward to on Thanksgiving. Avoid consuming excess food just because everyone else is doing it. Avoid taking food items that you really could do without. For example is a dinner roll so important? You can get that any old time of year. Then take the time to enjoy every single bite of your dinner, slowly. What's the rush?
For those of you who plan on being especially vigilant on Thanksgiving, think about limiting your alcohol. It weakens your overall resolve around food and actually contributes to fat storage more than any other food! The Diabetic Exchange System actually counts a serving of wine (about four to five ounces) equal to two servings of fat, and that's an additional 100 calories.
The idea here is simply moderation.

Could I Get Fries And An Extra Seat With That?

Below is an interesting article on how the alarming rates of obesity are changing the way the airlines are having to do business. I honestly don't think it's really fair that when I pay for one seat...that's all I get. I personally would LOVE to be able to have two seats for the price of one!!!

What are your thoughts on the Canadian Supreme Courts decision?

OTTAWA (Reuters) -

Obese people have the right to two seats for the price of one on flights within Canada, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled on Thursday.
The high court declined to hear an appeal by Canadian airlines of a decision by the Canadian Transportation Agency that people who are "functionally disabled by obesity" deserve to have two seats for one fare.

Thanksgiving.

Wow...it's hard to believe it's ALREADY Thanksgiving again! Very early on I encouraged you to start writing down and keeping track of everything that you are THANKFUL for, to show gratitude for the things in your life. I think it's important to re-visit that notion again as we start the countdown to turkey day.
What are YOU thankful for?
Let me know... I'd love to hear!
Cheers,

Exercise's Effects on the Heart

Inactivity is one of the major risk factors for heart disease. However, exercise helps improve heart health, and can even reverse some heart disease risk factors.
Like all muscles, the heart becomes stronger as a result of exercise, so it can pump more blood through the body with every beat and continue working at maximum level, if needed, with less strain. The resting heart rate of those who exercise is also slower, because less effort is needed to pump blood.
A person who exercises often and vigorously has the lowest risk for heart disease, but any amount of exercise is beneficial. Studies consistently find that light-to-moderate exercise is even beneficial in people with existing heart disease. Note, however, that anyone with heart disease should seek medical advice before beginning a workout program.

Weight Loss 101

With all the confusion out there on how to lose weight and boost your metabolism...this article does a great job of cutting through the clutter. Please notice how it never (and by never I mean NEVER) mentions anything about calling a toll-free number from an infomercial for some pills that promise you can eat all the fried chicken you want and still have sexy,summery,six-pack abs!

What is metabolism and how can you make the most of yours?!?!
